The third annual National High School Musical Theater Awards was held on Monday, June 27, 2011, at the Minskoff Theatre on Broadway. Activities commenced on Wednesday, June 22, with rehearsals, master classes, private coaching and interviews with theater professionals leading up to the live awards show where the Jimmy™ Award for Best Performance by an Actor and Best Performance by an Actress were presented. The ceremony was hosted by Tony® Award winner Gregory Jbara and presenters were Tony® Award-winners Tommy Tune, Harvey Fierstein, Nikki M. James (Book of Mormon) and Aaron Tveit (Catch Me If You Can). The production was directed by Van Kaplan and choreographed by Keisha Lalama with musical direction by Michael Moricz. The awards presentation featured student performances by all 50 participants. The program concluded on Tuesday, June 28, 2011.
