FCLO Music Theatre

FCLO Music Theatre John Raitt Awards for YouthThe John Raitt Awards for Youth ceremony is an annual event that selects winners in several categories, similar to the Tony® Awards. There are currently 18 participants spanning three counties in southern California. Judges visit each production by the schools selected and adjudicate each one using an objective scoring criteria to determine the various winners. Schools present a two to five minute vignette of their work at the awards ceremony and the winners are announced. There is also a panel of celebrity judges who select the best five minute vignette at the event.  Winners in a number of categories, ranging from "Best Performance by a Comedian" to "Cameo Performer of the Year," will receive medals in recognition for their performances at the ceremony.
